You absolutely have a CHOICE, no matter what you’re faced with.
You may not be where you wanted to be.
The road seems rough. You don’t think you can make it.
The struggles, rejections, and setbacks have formed a cloud over your vision. And, you can’t see beyond where you are standing.
These might probably be your situation right now. I have been in such a position.
However, you have a C.H.O.I.C.E to surmount this situation.
You have a choice to either confront what happens to you or to conform to it. In this case, C.H.O.I.C.E is an acronym that points to certain virtues that you possess.
Confidence – do not lose it when you feel you’re not enough
Do not lose your confidence in the face of criticism.
From experience, I have identified two key experiences that can shake or steal one’s confidence; Rejections and Low Self-esteem.
As a matter of fact, there is no feeling as worse as the feelings of rejection.
Heart – don’t stop loving what you love to do
There are usually temptations for you to stop pursuing what you’d love to do. By all means, do not lose your heart to abandon the things you’d love to do for the ones that were forced on you.
Also, anything that weakens your heart threatens your potentials and chances of succeeding.
Opportunity comes every day if you dare to try harder
Each day comes with its own opportunity. Besides, each day is an opportunity to create your own reality. Make a choice to be the architect of your day. Of course, you have the power to design your day into what you want it to be.
Moreover, it’s your day, it’s your time that’s ticking. What would you do with it? The moment you open your eyes, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Not to mention, cease your day and control your destiny. Important to realize that each day is unique. Add value to each day and treat it special too.
I remember a friend that told me that every day to him, is his birthday. So he gives himself a treat every day and equally ensures he makes someone happy.
Integrity is your key to real success
C.S. Lewis defined integrity as — “doing the right thing all the time, even when no one is looking — especially when no one is looking.
Integrity builds trust and attracts real success. It is impossible to harmonize a good working culture and a better relationship without the key ingredients of trust.
No matter how tough things may be now, always remember that Integrity pays in the end.
Conscience – listen to it, for it’d guide you
There is a voice within you. It is there to direct you on what is best for you and the path to take in your journey. Also, it would guide you to make the right choice when you’re presented with several options.
Excellence is a spirit you possess. Use it!
Whatever you find yourself doing, do it in an excellent way. As a famous quote by Ralph Marston, “Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.” In fact, your commitment to excellence in the things you do would help you to stand out from the multitude.
